Lord Paddy Ashdown to hold European Movement rally in Chester, April 19th
Lord (Paddy) Ashdown former leader of the Liberal Democrats will hold a European Movement rally in Chester on Tuesday April 19th to reach out to voters in Cheshire with the message that Britain is stronger as a member of the European Union ahead of the referendum on June 23rd.
Lord Ashdown will meet with members of the regional and national press at Bishop Lloyds Palace from 11:30am, before going on to hold a lunchtime question and answer session with local members of the European Movement and the public about how the campaign is going and why this is the decision of a generation.
Lord Ashdown will finish the day by campaigning with members of the European Movement in the heart of Chester at the historic Chester cross talking to members of the public about why EU membership is essential for them, their families and Britain’s future.

Lord Ashdown is the former leader of the Liberal Democrats and a leading member of the campaign to keep Britain in the European Union.
